“Ken, we received your note regarding our contribution to PLAA some years back.  While we were happy to have the funds go to fireworks, we are equally happy to have the funds be expended elsewhere.  Perhaps something on or around the 4th of July could still work-food, boat parade prizes, pancake breakfast, etc., are all fine with us.

Thank you for serving on the board; we are looking forward to seeing you around the neighborhood.  Best regards, Ron Johnson.”

The following letter was received from the chair of the Canosia Twnsp Board of Supervisors:

“Dear Mr Wallace,

On behalf of the Town of Canosia Board of Supervisors, I am writing to request a donation from the Pike Lake Association to the Gearhart Erikson Recreation Area, aka Canosia Recreation Area, for $10,000. These funds will be used either to rebuild the pavilion or purchase swings for the playground in the recreation area.  The request is being made now to purchase items for next spring.  The current lead time for the playground equipment is 8 – 10 months.

Please let me know what other information the Pike Lake Association may need to positively support this request.

Respectfully, Penny Dieryck, Board Supervisor”

Board agreed that further details are needed in order to make a decision. Dianne will reach out for more details on the scope of the project and report back at the next regular meeting.
